In
No Sense? Nonsense!, an evening of art music, had been the expression of four
sound artists utilizing sound materials and textures from the fabric
of daily life in their exposition. Not defined by these textures alone, however, the artists are part and
parcel of a vital force within the new music community to incorporate new and
renewed forms and techniques in their music.
Rachel and Jonathan performed an electronic sound piece based on interviews they have conducted with each other. Fragments of the interviews were accessed at random creating new conversations. At the same time the voices were electronically manipulated, generating an immersive sound environment of subtle textures for the imaginary interviews to occupy.

Michael
performed with a small ensemble his own compositions utilizing suspended ceramic
and stone tiles (tilaphone), tile fragments, and paper, along with more
conventional instruments.
Toby shared unusual collections of local sounds and binaural field recordings. His sound collages draw from recordings of the quiet and elusive, unique and unheard events of the soundscape. This is twilight music recorded mostly during 4 and 5am hour.
